HOW TO KEEP YOUR PETS COMFORTABLE THIS SUMMER

As summer sets in, there are some simple things you can do to make your pet more comfortable in the heat:
Pets can get dehydrated much faster than us so always watch out for their water bowls and fill them cold water. Also, keep checking regularly if your pets can easily access water or not, as dogs like to splash water quite a bit. Therefore, you need to refill the water bowl from time to time.
The sweltering sunshine can cause trouble to your pet. It’s better to provide a shelter in a shady area. If feasible, keep your pet inside your home as the availability of fan, air conditioners will be a sigh of relief for the little balls of fur.
- NEVER LEAVE THEM IN THE CAR
A car’s temperature usually gets increased ,even on cloudy days and even if you will keep the windows down the warm weather won’t stop troubling your pet. Naturally, the body temperature of pets like dogs is between 38 and 39 degrees Celsius. Therefore staying in a car will be suffocating for them and will cause their body temperature to increase which could result in organ failure and brain damage if excessive.
Arranging get togethers at home during the summer season can be a refreshing idea but your pet needs proper care in this area as they get scared due to loud music and the rush. To make them feel calm and comfortable, a relaxing environment and good hospitality is much needed.
- REGULAR GROOMING AND BATHING
A regular shower is a must for your pet as it will keep them fresh through the day. Also, by taking a bath regularly, the sweat and the dirt which bothers them more due to their fur is finally cleaned which is necessary for their hygiene. Regular grooming like brushing your pet’s hair will help in removing the dead skin and the toned hair will help in maintaining the heat balance.
- CHOOSE LOW TEMPERATUREPLACES AND TIMINGS FOR WORK OUTS
The cool part of the day like early morning and evening time would be optimal for working out as it will protect them from getting dehydrated. During this part of the day, make sure that your pet is hydrated regularly.
These are a few tips which would really help your pet have a more comfortable time this summer. Happy Summers !
