Brands
Pet food brands sold in India
Who owns what, what each brand actually sells, and where it sits on price.
Quick answer
Bonbeno brand guides cover the pet food brands sold in India, including ownership, product range, price positioning and how the brand's claims compare against what is on the label. Brand guides are factual and separate from tested product reviews.
What a brand guide covers
A brand guide is not a review. It is the factual background you need before reading one.
- Ownership and origin, because several brands positioned as Indian are owned by multinationals and several positioned as imported are manufactured locally.
- Product range and price band across the brand's line.
- Where the brand's marketing claims sit against its labels.
- Which products Bonbeno has tested, linking to the review.
A brand appearing here is a statement that it sells in India, nothing more. Verdicts live in tested reviews and are never sold.
Published brand guides
17 brand guides live. Each one establishes who owns the brand, which plant and country each pack declares, what it costs per kilogram across every seller found, and what each recall register returned on a dated search. Between them they carry 253 seller prices and 205 questions recorded as not established, each with the test that would settle it. None of them is sponsored.

Why ownership and origin are the lead facts
To judge a pet food brand you need to know who makes it and where, and that is the information Indian brand marketing works hardest to blur. Three patterns recur.
- Imported-sounding brands manufactured locally. A European or American-sounding name says nothing about where a pack was made or under whose quality system. The label does, and a brand guide reports what the label states.
- Indian-positioned brands owned by multinationals. Several brands marketed on local credentials sit inside large global groups. That is not a criticism, it is a fact a buyer comparing a domestic brand against an import should have.
- Price bands that do not track quality. Indian pet food pricing spans a very wide range for products whose labels are closer than the price gap suggests. Putting the range on one page makes that visible.
How brands get covered
Coverage is decided by what Indian owners are actually buying and searching for, never by who asks.
- Shelf presence and search demand decide the order, not commercial interest. No brand can buy its way into this section.
- A brand guide is factual and separate from a verdict. It says what the brand sells; the reviews section says whether a specific product was any good.
- Claims are quoted, not repeated as fact. Where a brand's marketing and its label disagree, the guide shows both.
- Corrections are welcome and acted on. If a brand believes an ownership or range detail is wrong, send the evidence through the contact page and it will be checked and fixed.
Common questions
Can a pet food brand pay to appear on Bonbeno?
No. Brand guides are chosen by what Indian owners are buying and searching for. Paid placement exists elsewhere on the site, is always labelled Sponsored or Featured Partner, and is never mixed silently into editorial coverage or a merit ranking.
Is a brand guide the same as a review?
No. A brand guide is factual background covering ownership, origin, product range and price band. A review is a verdict on a specific product that Bonbeno bought at retail and tested first-hand. The two are kept separate on purpose, and brand guides link to any reviews that exist.
Are Indian-sounding pet food brands actually Indian?
Not always, and the reverse is also common. Several brands positioned as Indian sit inside large multinational groups, and several positioned as imported are manufactured locally. Each brand guide states the ownership and the stated manufacturing origin rather than the marketing impression.
